Implementation Outline
-
Project Title: Blended Learning
-
Project Description: I am proposing the implementation of blended learning. Blended learning gives students control over the time, place, path, and pace of their learning. This gives students a personalized educational experience.
-
Project Goals: This project's goal is to create an environment beneficial to all students by encompassing a variety of teaching styles to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
-
Project Partnership: I intend to collaborate with campus administration, the district curriculum department, and the technology department to execute a blended learning initiative. Supporting documentation, including my innovation proposal and literature review, will serve as a source of corroboration of thorough research.
I. Planning: (April 2024-August 2024)

A. Element 1: Leadership-Recruit a solid leadership team to help implement the new program. Garner the support of team by presenting and providing research on the challenges of a traditional classroom and the benefits of a blended learning classroom. Decide on a blended learning model (i.e.,station rotations). Discuss data collection system.
B. Element 2: Professional Development- Determine and implement professional development needs. Professional development should cover blended learning, any new learning management systems, and new technologies introduced.
C. Element 3: Teaching-Ensure all teacher participants understand the effectiveness of a successfully implemented blended learning approach, the downfalls and their potential causes.
D. Element 4: Operations- Work with the educational technology department to decide on a learning management system that would assist in data collection as well as provide immediate feedback for students, parents, teachers, and administration. The system chosen should also be user friendly for elementary aged students that may be navigating technology for the first time.
E. Element 5: Content- Work with the curriculum department to focus on content needs.
F. Element 6: Technology- Our district currently provides a 1:1 device for all students. Technology will ensure that software is updated with relevant programs and the upkeep of devices. By doing this, students will have access to educational resources that allow them to engage in learning in and out of the classroom.
II. Pilot Program (September 2024-May 2025)

A. Pilot the program with a finite group, ideally no more than 5 classrooms within the school. This will encourage collaboration throughout the year. Furthermore, piloting one class per grade level offers varied perspectives to create a well-rounded assessment of the program's effectiveness.
B. Review and analyze data at weekly and monthly intervals. Consistent review of data helps take a proactive approach to prevent any unfavorable outcomes.
C. Schedule and attend regular meetings to address any issues and concerns. Collaborate and touch base on program goals.
III. Implementation (August 2025-May 2026)

A. Integrate professional development and training regarding the blended learning initiative.
B. Address concerns and provide support for all teachers. Allow the teachers that piloted the program help lead in the school wide implementation and mentor their grade level teachers.
C. Review and analyze data at weekly and monthly intervals. Consistent review of data helps take a proactive approach to prevent any unfavorable outcomes.
D. Continue professional development throughout the year.
