Designing Online Learning

Throughout this course, I have had the opportunity to develop an online professional development program. I began by focusing on creating a comprehensive plan aimed at designing an effective significant learning environment. Subsequently, I implemented this plan and started constructing my online blended learning course. In conjunction with Course 5389, I meticulously planned my professional development strategy in its entirety. Upon completing the course, I was tasked with identifying individuals for usability testing. This testing is essential for identifying areas for improvement before the course is finalized and implemented. Reflecting on this journey, I am grateful for the collaboration and support I received from mentors and peers. Their encouragement and constructive criticism fueled my passion for creating an impactful learning experience. I am confident that this program will empower educators to enhance their teaching practices and inspire lifelong learning among their students.

Implementation Development

     The "Start Here" module serves as an introduction to the course, providing access prior to the first in-person session. This segment will outline the overarching goals of the course and the specific learning outcomes for each subsequent module. Designed with a learner-centered approach, the course allows participants to choose their areas of focus.

 

     The course will commence by encouraging learners to identify shortcomings within our current education system, followed by the introduction of a new educational framework aimed at addressing these issues. It adopts a blended learning format, with an equal emphasis on both in-person and online instruction. Throughout the course, learners will have opportunities to express their concerns, engage in planning for a blended format, and provide and receive constructive feedback.
