What have you gained from your learning experience in this program thus far?
Two classes in and I can't wait to see what the future holds. My mind is racing with ideas, trying to figure out how to implement everything I want to do. The program has given me a sense of accomplishment, as I've gotten to be hands on in my learning. It's given me the opportunity to delve deeper into my beliefs towards the current school system and the confidence to go forward with the implementation of new ideas in the near future. I’ve gained knowledge in a new way. I’ve developed a better understanding of our current school system as well as what it possible. I am excited to continue learning and growing as I go through the program.
How will you incorporate elements of the COVA model into your ePortfolio?
Using the COVA model within my e-portfolio enables to me to have autonomy in the way I create and present my learning throughout the course. It gives me the opportunity to take ownership of my work and let’s me express my perspective on the subject at hand. The learning experience I receive from being able to actively engage in my own learning makes a meaningful impact.
What factors would contribute to ePortfolio persistence beyond your program of study?
What I love about the idea of an e-portfolio is being able to have all of my hard work in one spot. Throughout the remainder of the program it’ll be a great reminder and a boost of confidence to look back and see all that I’ve accomplished so far. The urge to want to continue will be stronger because of it.
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned thus far in the program?
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned was distinguishing between a fixed and growth mindset. Understanding this concept greatly helped my progress in completing the course.
